An old dyer’s house with a preserved dyeing workshop, located in the North Bohemian town of Úštěk.
Current research findings indicate that the dyeing equipment at this Úštěk dye-works — which remains mostly intact and dates back to the early 18th century — is a unique find, especially in Central Europe. Together, the residential quarters and the production facility form a unique site of potential European significance.
The property includes a spacious cellar complete with four stone columns that was carved directly into the sandstone rock beneath the house.
